Okay, I’m getting ahead of myself.. I should be doing no. 4, but I sort of wrote this one by accident. So here goes:
You don’t want to be waking up with surprises…especially when you didn’t get a change to zero that hammer village.
I left two hammers in my area. One had 20,000 Imperians and 8,000 EC’s, the other had about 30,000 Macemen. If only… I had destroyed them I would still be playing right now. Taking them out could have been very easy. I always knew the Teuton army was around… but it was over an 1 hour away (which is nothing when you’re sleeping by the way…).
As for the Roman one I never knew it existed until it was too late. Oh well. Lesson learned: If you don’t want to build thousands of defensive troops, do yourself a favor and kill the offense before it has a chance of reaching you. Period.
